We are currently working on revamping the project bear with us. Like I said before I am in talks with a member of the apache group and he has agreed to join our team and will become our lead developer. We have discussed the latest paper and will be making improvements to it soon. We are still in need of developers to help us create a Proof of Concept program.
We are looking at renaming the project during this revamp due to the fact we need control to moderate the group and manage the website and most of the people who had control are long gone. Please let us know what you think and any ideas. developers please email me at c130commnav (at) gmail.com
only if you are searious about working on the project.

Getting involved, and thank you
I will be back periodically to offer what help I can, probably primarily in resolving design questions and possibly some proof of concept code (since my C++ coding experience is pretty old and minimal, but I've done a lot of design and coding in other languages).
I've also done some playing around with Thunderbird extensions now, so I might be able to help on that front.
I think the best way to get developer support is to make everything available here -- design documents as they evolve, lists of tasks to be done (as fine-grained as possible), and so on need to be front & center so that people stopping by to help can easily see what needs to be done -- and perhaps pick up a task and never finish it (which doesn't affect the project either way), or submit some working code or a PoC impl or a design idea that makes a real difference.
I think a lot of people are in my situation -- I have more than a fulltime job and my own side projects, but I feel strongly enough about this project that I am willing to dedicate time as I can to researching issues, writing PoC code, etc... but I can't do anything like saying "I will be working 20 hours a week on this".
Thanks again for all your work in keeping this alive despite the frustrations involved! There will always be complainers (I get this in other open source projects as well... strongly-worded *demands* from people paying nothing and offering no help), but the rest of us definitely appreciate the hard work.
Agreed
I agree with your comments. I also am not up to date on my C++ code, but have written a ton of Java. In addition, I can easily contribute 20 or more hours a week on this, in addition to possibly recruiting some grad students at the college I attend. But, I don't even have a clue where to start, what needs to be done, where I could help, etc. I may be missing something, but the only thing I've seen has been the paper describing the project. I'd definitely like to help with this project in whatever capacity I can, just point us in the right direction.
Agreed
Sorry, posted twice...please delete
This is good. I think though
This is good. I think though that we can get started even if no coding is possible.
Worst case, those of us who can't code well enough for that portion could just work on community building and cleaning up the computers of those we know.
Probably not quite as efficient as putting the program together, but at least that way we could gain some momentum on this.
I sincerely hope that this developer is interested in leading the software development aspect of the project.
And yes, I think you are right to be somewhat annoyed with the complaints.
